Double Top !

I Phone 001The build up had started… Wayne arrived home from Afghanistan, to be greeted by Kate( ready for giving birth… to the twins !) and Chloe, glad to see her Dad !

I Phone 014So… what could I do – go out with I Phone 019my little sister Annette to celebrate her 50th Birthday, with a Ladies High Tea in Manchester, although I ( and Pop ) had a Gentleman’s tea… with champagne of course !

Winter 2013 to 2014 009Then the call came… time to go up to Scotland, ready for the arrival of the twins…I arrived just after the middle of the month, Winter 2013 to 2014 018re-acquainted Chloe with the beach in Lossiemouth, did some more star gazing…and just managed a bit of biking at Glenlivet…before I was Officially on duty with a (not too) early morning wake up call… ‘ Dad… my waters have broken….and then they were off ‘!!

I Phone 044Me and Chloe didn’t have long to wait, as by 4-30 p.m. that afternoon Jacob David Joseph and William were born !! Two happy ,but little babies, to add to my ever growing band of Grandchildren ,Winter 2013 to 2014 046 and we were soon into the Hospital to do some juggling, something I was to try and get used to over the next couple of weeks !

We didn’t have to wait long for the new arrivals to be ready for home, and soon I was ‘relaxing’ in Winter 2013 to 2014 060the peace and quiet of Lossiemouth…!!

I managed to get another bit of stargazing in…wandering across to the beach most nights…however a slight hiccup occurred the following night, as I was ready to set off for a big nights forecast ‘Aurora watch’… the little ones were unwell, and had to go back into Hospital… Winter 2013 to 2014 061Oh dear, Chloe was in bed asleep as I got some messages about the spectacular display of the ‘Northern Lights’ all around me …Winter 2013 to 2014 067what could I do…. sneak out into the back garden, to see what I could… -a fantastic show was clearly on, Winter 2013 to 2014 077as even though there was street lighting all around me… what a night to be babysitting… still that’s what Grandad’s are for…. I still managed to see a spectacular display all around me !

Breathtaking… maybe my reward for a winter in Scotland !

Soon the twins were home again, and I was ready for a bit of fun in the snow !
