Counting Up

Early Sunday morning Sean collected me from Banff, and I said my farewells to Joseph,Nicola + Thomas , and we had a nice sunny drive back into Calgary, where Mary had done me an early dinner, and then farewell to Sean and Mary as I checked in at Calgary airport, watching my aeroplane being prepared for the journey back to Manchester

A smooth overnight flight followed and I landed early in Manchester, and used the last of my English money, on a bargain ‘Dayrider bus ticket’ which saw me onto two buses for the journey home, and I arrived just before 2 p.m. UK time….to the mountain of mail, sunshine and washing done before the English rain returned !

Oh, and the grass to cut,and all those other jobs I don’t do !

So, this is it for a while ?

Well, until Friday when I fly out to Belfast (where they’re rioting!) for my nephew JP’s wedding ..

As to my ‘little trip’

I travelled

about 3,000 road miles

about 13,350 air miles

about 150 sea miles

…and a few foot miles !

Cost ?….memories to be shared
