Just Before the ‘Off’

So, here I am again, ‘Wally’ packed and ready to go..so what have I been doing since I last returned home in February ?

…far too much to tell everything, since Easter I’ve been readying myself for this years Summer tour, and dashing down to Devon in late April for Matthew and Jennifer's wedding, in picturesque Kingsweir..looking out across the River Dart (not that they were looking !), and then a delightful reception at Dartington Hall http://www.dartington.org/dartington-hall where I had some unusual neighbours for the night (although they were quiet)   and then after another night on Dot’s driveway, with my ‘en suite garage’ I was able to dash over to Teignmouth https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teignmouth where I spent the day with my eldest Grandson Ethan, who’s at Trinity school there,helping ourselves to Fish + Chips …and walking everywhere, before I dashed back up North… to paint the house (just !)….. and another wedding of my nephew and Godson Joseph to Joanna (the Real actors in the family !!) and another plush reception at Adlington Hall http://www.adlingtonhall.com/  with enough Champagne to sink us all… in nice old surroundings with lots of the family there ..phew, a late night, quick recovery the following morning with Breakfast nearby, before everyone disappeared back to where they had come from !

Interspersed with visits from Children and Grandchildren from Scotland,America..and nearer at hand… so, as you see I have been fairly busy, and ready for my travels..

…..Where to you may ask ?

Firstly a quick ‘stop off’ in  London, for Joe’s performance as one of the main parts in ‘Othello’ at the National Theatre http://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/shows/othello

then I carry on to Brixham, for Dot’s (the beloved mother in law !) 80th Birthday party

following day Sail Plymouth to Santander, for a few weeks meandering along the Pyrenees

Mid June sail Nice to Corsica, for a few weeks including the start of the Tour de France (TdF)

Return Nice, and travel across France to Paris for the final day of the TdF

day after Sail Cherbourg to Rosslare, Ireland, and a wander up the west coast, to arrive in Attymass before August, and the main event…
