A not too early start this morning, as I packed ‘Wally’ and left Dot’s in time to get across to Teignmouth, to go to mass with Sarah,Ethan + Elijah, and finally be able to deliver their Easter Eggs, they having been ‘snowbound’ back in April…and a quick cup of tea with them after mass before I set off to Plymouth, and a final ‘Sainsbury’s stop’…well, for a while anyway…
A miserable day in Plymouth, encouraged me to join the ferry queue, ready for boarding the ‘Pont Aven’ and my overnight trip to Santander in Spain, and the real start of my travels…
Boarding seemed to take ages, however once on board I located my ‘luxurious Pullman seat’, dumped my blanket, and made my way to the lounge, just in time to see Manchester United’s last home game of the season, beating Swansea 2-1, and then being presented with the Premiership Trophy…again (the 20th time), made all the more pleasant when I had heard of Manchester City’s defeat by Wigan at Wembley yesterday in the FA Cup…poor old City, at least the Parades won’t clash !!
I did manage to get a record of the victory parade..and Sir Alex Ferguson’s last home game..Well done the Reds..!!
and now ?, I’ll settle down, and hope the ships stops Rockin’ !! Adios …
