I was up bright and early in the Camargue- I’d heard a strange sound in the night, and couldn’t quite work it out…drizzle ! good time to be going, although to be fair another bright blue day was dawning, as I packed up, ready for the road..and by 9 a.m. I was off, along the coastal roads, and into the city of Arles..quite a shock to suddenly find myself in busy traffic !
I had decided to treat myself, and try the toll roads for a change, not wanting a long tortuous journey along side roads, when i could just zoom along the motorway, to my next destination…Ste Maxime http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sainte-Maxime , on the bay of St Tropez
By just after 12 noon, I was at my campsite Les Cigallons,http://www.camping-cigalon.net/ I’d stayed here last year, and thought it would be good enough for the next week, before I move to Corsica.. the site is just across the road from the beach, on the gulf of St Tropez, and once I’d been in and out of the tourist office, and done my shopping, I was dipping my toes in the Mediterranean, seeing if it was warmer than in the Camargue…
it was, but only just, I’ll need it a bit warmer before testing out my new snorkelling gear !
So, now to test out my lovely Salmon,Tuna and St Jacques (scallops) kebabs…along with some nice fizzy to wash it all down..it’s time I splashed out !
Bonne Soir, Bonne Nuit !
