Grizzled and Griddled with the Grizzlies

Well….I’ve survived, so far !

After a week in the ‘backwoods’, I’m briefly passing through civilisation, and taking advantage of a passing computer connection, although, as I’m sure you’ll all be upset to read..I’ve not had time to update my blog, and probably won’t do for another week or so..sorry !

So, whilst I’m sat in the laundry..doing some washing…I can give you a brief outline-

I’ve been walking,living and sleeping in wild bear country, with both Grizzly,brown and black bears…along with Moose,Caribou,Lynx,and Golden Eagles

I’ve been ice climbing on, and inside a glacier !

I’ve been in Denali and Wright Elias National Parks

I’ve been zooming over the mountains, watching the sun go down on the glaciers, in a tiny aeroplane

I’ve broken the camera again (and can’t fix it this time!) and haven’t got anywhere near a place to buy a new one

I’ve been watching the ‘Perseid Meteor Shower’ from one of the most remote places in Alaska ( McCarthy)

I’ve been taking the sunshine with me all over Alaska, the great weather has been following us everywhere, so I’m burnt in all the wrong places, with mosquito bites in other unmentionable spots..

…and generally having a quiet time !

So, I’ll let you all know when I can the details -

this week starts with a 6-30 a.m. ferry journey down Prince William Sound and other events,which I can’t remember..
